Biomechanical Assessment

This is a detail assessment of the function of your feet and lower limb to identify what factors maybe causing pain or injury.  Through detailed medical history, joint range of movement, muscle strength and flexibility, tendon and ligament function, standing posture, gait analysis (video and treadmill analysis if required) and footwear.

This can include conditions such as, Plantar fasciitis, Bunions, Heel pain, Neuromas, Flat feet, metatarsalgia, tendinopathy.

The aim of this assessment is to reduce pain, improve foot function, enhance mobility and improve activity of daily life.

Possible treatments are:

• Exercises prescription.

• Footwear advice.

• Gait retraining.

Insole prescription: casted (not included in the appointment), simple insole prescription or non bespoke insoles.

If the patient requires casted insoles an apt will be booked to take the cast: £50.

Bespoke insoles will require a fitting appointment: £50.
